Challenge #98 Star Spangled Banner Blog Hop make a banner suitable for hanging, for the Fourth of July, with LOTS of bling! Use any colors you’d like.
Here is my entry for Penny's Paper - Crafty Challenge

Please see Below photos for closeups of each pennant.

Patriotic Banner - Rosette Pennant

I am entering this one at
Paper Play Challenges - Stars & Stripes
This project is another piece of the Patriotic Banner I made today.  I used my Pink Cricut Expression to cut the svg files from Made in America Kit from Svgcuts.  The Paper is Americana from K&Company.  Cuts great on the Cricut.

Patriotic Banner - Presidential Pennant

I entered this one over at
Craft Us Crazy RED, WHITE & BLUE AND/OR A SUMMER THEME..OR BOTH!!
Another piece from my Patriotic Banner.  This one was fun and simple.  I cut everything on my Pink Cricut Expression.  The cut files are from Svgcuts and this awesome Kit is called Made in the USA.  Paper pack is gorgeous and cuts so great on my Cricut, it is K&Company's Americana.

Patriotic Banner 3-D Star

I have entered this in a Challenge over at
Whimisical Wednesday - Challenge # 12
http://whimsicalwednesdays.blogspot.com/2011/06/lets-get-patriotic.html
Create a Patriotic Card/Project and you must include Brads, Bling or Buttons.
You can include all three, but you must include at least one of the 3 B's
I have been working on this awesome patriotic banner.  Here is one of the pieces that I just love.  This 3-D Star I cut with my Pink Cricut from an Svg kit called Made in the USA from Svgcuts.  I love love love this kit.    I used a great paper kit that I got from Michaels for all of these patriotic projects called Americana from K&Company.  Love it so much too, all are double sided papersand it cuts like butter on my cricut.  The Red Glitter on the Star is actually glitter foam.  I didn't have a deep cut blade but I went ahead and cut it on my Cricut anyway twice and then went over the cut marks with scissors to finish the cuts.  I love the raised red foam glitter parts, it really sets the star off on my banner.  I added two buttons tied together with a blue string for the middle.

I have entered this card in the

also in the
Paper Cutz Challenge #96
So I have used kit items from one of my Monthly kits again for this Father's Day Card.  This time I used the Creative Stamping of the Month Kit - Distinctly Classic.  I used all supplies from the kit except for the DAD tag, I used Cricut Plantin SchoolBook Cart and a piece of yarn from my stash, and also the Brads I bought from OTC.  I used the Cuttlebug folder Diamond to give the red background a toolbox effect.  The Sentiment I used My Xyron Design Runner.  Greeting's cart for the Happy Day and my Xyron design Maker for the Father's.  I inked all of the edges with a brown ink I got in a previous Creative Stamping of the Month Kit.  I stamped the little Cars with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.

CPS Card Sketch Challenge #222 plus Stamping Kit

I Love the way this one turned out, I used my Creative Stamping Kit of the month Club Kit, Nature's Beauty.  What a gorgeous kit with beautiful stamps and supplies.  Every single item I used came from this kit except for the ribbon.  In this kit it teaches about 3-D stamping & Watercolor pencil technique...which I used both on this card.  I used my 1/4" corner rounder and also used my Cuttlebug folder from the simply charmed pack -  the tiny squares.  I also Inked all of the edges of my pieces with the brown ink that came in the kit.

Card-Maker & Creative Stamping Kit of the month Clubs

I subscibe to the Cardmaker Magazine digital version and love it so much, they also have it available in print.  I decided to try out their little kit clubs.  These are great little kits and I love recieving them every month.  However with all of the work I put into the Family Reunion, I have gotten far behind on these kits.  My goal over the next couple of weeks is to work on getting some cards made with these awsome kits.  The Stamping kit I canceled, it was great too but I am happy with just getting the card making kits for now, I usually get some cute little stamps in those kits anyway.  At this point I have 5 Cardmaker Kits and 3 Stamping kits and I have only made cards with the first kit , friendship Blooms and only utilized one of the other kits items.  So on that note prepare to be bombarded with cardmaker kit club cards this week...lol.

Wedding Love Card - Cricut Cardz Challenge #78

Cricut Cardz Challenge #78

I made this card using my cuttlebug to emboss not only the card but also the envelope. I cut the card from Cricut Just Because Cards.  The papers are all cardstock from Colorbok.  The Brown, Pink and White colors go so good together.  The ribbon is from Oriental Trading Company (OTC).   The Love embellishment is from my stash.  I used Swiss Dots Folder & D'Vine Swirls Folder on the card.  The Birds & Swirls folder was used on the envelope.

I used my program Craft Artist to create the sentiment for the inside and simply printed it out on my printer and pasted to the bottom section of the inside of my card.

Spring Banner Card

The Spring Banner is from April Showers Cart.
Ths Grass is from PDC and the flowers I think are from PDC as well.
The writing inside is done with the Cricut Markers.

Happy Spring Card

I made this card from the Spring Holiday Cards Cartridge.

Flower Scroll Wild Card

This was a card and envelope I a made back in April from my Wild Card Cart.  It is the card on page 39, The flowers I cut from somewhere else...lol, I wish I could remember.  I used cuttlebug folders on the flower layers and then used a large glitter topped yellow Brad from OTC.

My Card Maker Kit of the month Cards - Feb

These cards were made with some items of my CardMaker Kit of the Month Club from CardMaker Magazine.  I have learned a lot as a beginner in cardmaking from the magazine and Monthly Kits.  I love my digital subcription to this Magzine for not only the great tips and techniques but such great inspiration as well.

One of the main techniques in this kit was sanding edges and even scratching up the card base with sand paper.  I loved this kit.  One of my favorites for sure.

Get Whale Soon Swap Card

This card was another card I did for our Card Swap, this one and the previous round flower swap card were both the very first 2 cards I cut on my new Expression 2.  I was very sick with a sinus infection so I did pretty simple cards on these two.

Flower Thanks Card Swap

This was a fun little round card that I layered with flowers.  Cut from Cricut Essentials Cartridge.  I also ran each flower through my CuttleBug using these folders, D'vine Swirls,  Tiny Bubbles, Swiss Dots.  I used a lime green Brad in the center of the layers and stamped with lime green ink on the inside "Thanks".

So Saturday Challenges #11 - Shaped Card

I was inspired to make this card from a challenge that is running over at http://cardcreationsbyc.blogspot.com/

Shaped Squirrel Love Card - Front

This card I made using the Cindy Loo cartridge, I don't have a Gypsy so I actually had to make it the old fashioned way by attaching the 2 pieces together.  I used the Shadow feature of the squirrel shape on page 62 and cut it twice at 5" for the card base layer, which I of course attached together at the edges.  I scored the back layer at 7/8" on the far right hand side of card.  After I used my bone folder to crease the fold line I then placed adhesive to the left of the score line and then lined up the two shapes and adhered them together.  I then cut all of the remaining layers of the squirrel all cut at 5".  I then layered and adhered them all together.  I adhered the completed Squirrel to the front of card base.  I found an acrylic embellishment in my stash and adhered that to the front.  Such a fun cute card the could be cut in such a variety of colors.  I used Brown for the base and some pretty pink and brown flower paper and a solid pink paper from OTC.
Shaped Squirrel Love Card - Inside

On the inside of the card I used a cut from using the Just Because cards cartridge.  On page 63 I used the Stencil feature and cut using the same solid pink paper from the front of the card.  I inked the edges of the oval with Walnut Stain Ink and then adhered to the inside of my card.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #77

Cricut Cardz Challenge #77 -  make a card using the card feature from any cartridge, and you may use any colors or theme you'd like.

This is my first time participating in this challenge, I had a lot fun making this tri-fold card.  I Used the only cartridge I had with a Card Feature button, Just a Note, which came preloaded on my new E2.  Page 66 - Hang in There Card, I cut all of the layers for the card, the Tree layers and the phrase in Card or Card Layer keys.  It was tough choosing the right paper to make this card work but I am happy with what I chose from Prima - The Sasha Collection.  The monkey I added in and cut from Everyday Paper Dolls Cart.   I pop dotted the Monkey to give more dimension. After cutting the monkey a changed to my Cri-Kits Pink Gel Pen to trace the cut.   I added pink stickles to the monkey's face and also to the middle of the e in the phrase Hang in There.

I used my CuttleBug to emboss the tree top with Birds & Swirls folder and embossed the trunk with the Forest Branches folder.  I used Walnut Stain to lightly ink the embossing on the trunk.

Fisherman Birthday Tri-Fold Shutter Card

I have entered this card into the Quick Cards Men's Challenge over at Cardmaking and Papercraft.com I loved the Shutter card so much I thought I would try another one.  This one with a fishing theme for my Son in-Law.  It really turned out Super Cute I think.

On this card I used the Shutter card technique from Cricutology.com and added lots of fun fishing stuff.  I Started with a White cardstock for the base.  Placing the base in landscape view - Score at 2 inch and 4 inch, then rotate page 1/2 turn and score again at 2 inch & 4 inch.  now place base on your paper trimmer in the portrait position, cut  at the 1 1/2 inch mark, cut only from top score line to bottom score line which is from 2" to 10 ", flip base and repeat.  Accordian fold your card, now pulling the middle section toward you refold and crease with your bone folder.  I used different blue background papers, here are the dimensions you will need to cut for your panels:
2 times 1 3/4 X  5 1/4
2 times 1 1/4 X  3 3/4
2 times 1 3/4 X  2 1/4
4 times 1 3/4 X  1 1/4
1 time    3 3/4 X 2 1/4
I inked the edges of all the pieces with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Ink.  On 5 of them I embossed with my CuttleBug and used the Tiny Bubbles folder.  On two of them I embossed with the Happy Birthday mini embossing folder and then inked it with the Walnut Stain, rubbing it over the raised letters.  Paste each panel in it's appropriate place. The Fisherman & fishing pole and the 4 big fish were cut on my Cricut E2, The large fish cut at 2 inches & the other three cut at 1 1/4 inches with the Everyday Paper Dolls Cart.  The other fishing pole in the middle with the fish was cut from the Just Because Cards Cart.  The Grass Border was a cut file I got from PDC and used my Sure Cuts A Lot (Scal) Software to cut on my Pink Expression.  The fishing line is some hemp cord that I picked up by Crafters Square.  Paste all of your cut files on the card.

Country Life - Father's Day Tri-fold Card

I just finished a Father's Day Card for my Husband who is a dairy Farmer.  This is my first Tri-Fold or Shutter Card, I loved it!  I also love this Country Life Cartridge.  What a fun card to make.  I wanted to incorporate something about him into his card this year.  I think I managed it with this one...lol.
I entered this card in the Quick Cards men's challenge over at CardmakingandPapercraft.com.   I used the Country Life Cart for the Farmer, the Milk bottle ( used black sticker letters for word milk), the Cow, the Grass and the Farm Fresh.  I used Wild Card Cart for the Happy Father's Day Phrase.  I used Essentials for the scallop border.  Also I chose my background paper's from My Mind's Eye - Bohemia Stack.
I got my inspiration for this card from a video I watched on you tube from Janice at Cricutology.  Her's is done in a Nautical theme, which I also love.

We have some Birthday's coming up this month so I think I will do another Tri-Fold card this morning if I have time with a Fishing theme.
