Birthday Fishes Joy Fold Card

Hello Crafters, I hope all is well with each and every one of you.  I have been very busy making this card times 6.  Yes that is right 6 times for a card swap I am in.  As I went along making this I kept adding in new things and more layers.  I still have some assembling to do on the other 5 but this one is DONE finally, lol.  I love the way it came out though so it was worth all of the extra efforts over the past two days.  I have to say I am very happy it is almost over though.  I started out wanting to make my first
Joy Fold card, as I recently saw one on a blog hop I hopped and then my imagination took over........
well this is what I came up with.
Sorry I had to use a clip to hold it closed
This adorable fish and fish bowl I recently purchased from
Little scraps of heaven designs. The sand at the bottom I spritz with Tattered Angels
Glimmer Mist -  Vanilla Breeze.  The Tag on the left
is cut from Plantin Schoolbook - Tag 1 page 78.  I took it into Design Studio
and sized the tag to 5" x 2 3/4.  I added some fun fibers to the top.
the Birthday fishes sentiment I did in my Craft Artist, I printed on blue paper
then I lined it all up in sure cuts alot 2 and then cut out the tags around the sentiment.
Is this not too cute? it looks like the little fisherman is fishing in the fish bowl.
Fisherman is cut at 4" from Everyday Paper Dolls, page 70.  The adorable Peachy Keen face
- wide eyed kids, I colored in with white gelly roll and colored gel pens.
All of his clothes plus the fishing pole are also cute at the same settings.
The fishing line is white embroidery floss.  Then you open the last part and Voila...

There is a sad worm, cut from April Showers at 3/4, on a hook at the end of the fishing
line over looking a pond with a big red fish jumping up out of the waves to get him.
the hook is from Paper Doll Dress Up -  page 17, only it was a hand hook for a pirate.  I cut it at
4" then punched a 1/8" hole in the center and then trimmed around it to give it the look
of a fishing hook.  It actually came out pretty good but the worm covers most of it.  the
water is a blue paper cut at 1 1/4 x 1 3/4 and then corner chomped 1/4".  I then ran it through
cuttlebug, tiny bubbles folder.  The cute little waves are from svgcuts, cut at 2" wide.
the Red Fish is from Everyday Paper Dolls, accesory 3 no shift, cut at 3/4" -  page 70.
I added blue paper with corners chomped behind the fish bowl to leave room to
sign and add a sentiment to the inside of the card.

I have entered into these Challenges
Tuesday throw down - Punny Sentiment

Happy Birthday Shutter Card - Swap & Giveaway info

So here is my next card for the Swap.  The colors I chose are from the patterned
paper I used.  Not colors I would have normally put together, but I like it.
The Shutter Card is cut at 5.5 x 12
The panels are all cut as listed below:
2 Blue on each end - 1.75 x 5.25
2 Purple over the Blue each end - 1.50 x 5.00
1 Center Blue - 3.75 x 2.00
1 Purple center over Blue - 3.50 x 1.75
4 small cream colored corners 1.75 x 1.25
2 long pattern pieces - 1.25 x 3.75
2 Short pattern pieces - 1.75 x 2.00

The 2 end purple pieces are embossed with a cuttlebug borders set I have.
I can't remember the name, I will have to see if I can look that up.
The blue, behind the purple are embossed with Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy.
The small cream colored 4 corners are embossed with Cuttlebug
Birds & swirls.  Also the Birthday cake is a mini folder from a cuttlebug set,
then I rubbed it with Ocean Blue Ink pad from Martha Stewart.
The awesome Bird Cut is from Cricut Straight from the Nest,
One of my Newest Cartridges, I will be doing much more with this
cartridge.  Lots of goodies on it.  The ribbon cord is from my
stash, OTC I think is where I got it.  The flower is from OTC and the blue bling
in the center I picked up from Jo-ann's.  The purple Bling for the eye and
the Pattern paper are from a scrapbooking kit from Momenta.
The card itself is Bazzill cardstock, as is the cream colored cardstock.  The Blue is
from my stash and so is the Purple used for the embossed layers and the
birds wing.  I will be making 5 more of these for my card swap due in
September.  Woo I better get busy because I have 2 more sets of 6
to do after these.  I love it though.  Fun Fun Creating time, lol

Project in these Challenges:

I am also going to have a giveaway soon if the cartridge ever shows up
that I ordered for it.  I will keep it a surprise for now in case
I have to get something different.  That will be announced
very soon though so keep your eye out for that.

Well thanks for stopping by and having a look.  I hope you will
leave me a comment and new Friends/Followers are always welcomed.
Have a wonderful & Crafty Day!!!

Basketball Birthday Card

Good Morning Crafters, I hope you all had a great weekend.  I did, the Zoo
with my little Grand Kids on Friday, School Shopping with them on Saturday,
and Birthday Party with the older ones yesterday, Fun Fun!!!
So here is the Birthday card I made for the Birthday Boy yesterday.
He plays Basketball and his uniform is Green & White.
So I used the Everyday Paper Dolls for the Boy and the hoop and net
Everything is cut at 5".  I cut the Basket ball too but was not happy
with it so I used my Craft artisit and computer for the basketball.
I sized it to the same size the cricut one was, then printed it, cut it
out and the ran it through my cuttlebug in the tiny bubbles folder.
I used a simple shape for the red oval from Sure cuts alot 2.
The stamped sentiment , "happy birthday" is from my
Card Maker Kit of the Month Club, Birthday wishes kit.
I used Peachy Keen stamps for the face, wide eyed kids - 1 1/8".
I used my white gelly roll pen for the whites in the eyes and also
to outline the uniform in white.  I used paper from my stash for the
wood floor, I think I bought it at Hobby Lobby.
For the inside of the card I again used my Craft Artist and computer
to create the sentiment and also placed a smaller version of the basketball
to match it up with the front of the card.  He liked his card and said the
boy on the card looked like him.  I love the paper dolls carts!!!

Entered into Challenge:

Back to School Goodies for the Kids

Good Morning Crafters, today I am taking the little one's to the Zoo.
at ages 4 and 5, I know this is going to be a day filled with smiles
and adventure.  I love doing things with my Grandchildren so much.
I wanted to get this little back to school set posted this morning
before I head out.  The Box is from svgcuts, it is the popcorn box from
their Summer-Blockbuster kit.  The schoolhouse on the front is also
from svgcuts.  It is from the set called Back to School.  You can find these
files and many more at their blog, many are free.  Just click on the banner above
for svgcuts, it will take you right to their homepage.

The stuff inside the box are either items I bought for school or things I
made from My Sweet Tater over at Scrappin Hens.  There is a back to school
pouch which I filled with pencils, the bookmark which I laminated and
added the monogrammed apple and ribbons, or the sweet little lunch
box notes, whish I used as their gift cards.  Fun easy back to school set.
Head on over to Scrappin Hens in the My Sweet Tater Designer section
to find some super great deals right now, most of which are
free or only .37 cents right now.

Challenges I have entered this in:

I hope you all have a wonderful and Crafty day.  I am off to go
pick up those little ones and have a super fun day with them I am sure.

Zoo Hanger - Baby Shower Gift

Hello all of my Crafty Friends,
I saw this idea on the Oh Baby Blog Hop and fell in love!!!
Nancie over at A Little Piece of Me by Nancie, did this project
and it was so gorgeous I just had to try my own version.
I know my Niece will love this, any new Mom would.
I am going to make another one for a different shower soon,
but this time I will use Winnie the Pooh Characters.

I cut the Hanger from Cricut Cartridge Everyday Paper Dolls page 34. I selected fit to page on a 12 x 12 mat and it cut at 33”. I used a thick chipboard and I do not have a Deep Cut Blade, (need to get one though) so I chose to cut it a second time using the load paper & repeat last key features. It still did not cut clean through, maybe I should have cut 3 times, I used my craft knife to go along the edges again and then went over all the edges with a sanding block to clean up all of the edges. I then cut the Green polka dot paper to layer over the top again using the repeat last key.
I used Frame 1 from My Mom’s Attic Freebie at SVGCUTS
for the Green Frames (Size - 3.798 x 3.798 cut 12 times).
I used the simple shapes from Sure cuts a lot for my blue Squares
in the center of the frames (Size - 2.896 x 2.896 cut 12 times).
Click on the Banner at the top of my Blog to go Directly to SVGCUTS.
The adorable Animals are from the Jungle & Zoo Pals Paper
Piecings set at Little scraps of Heaven.
I used Sure Cuts Alot and cut each at these dimensions.
The Lion I cut at 11.355 X 5.099
The Giraffe I cut at 11.274 X 7.583
The Elephant I cut at 10.480 X 7.266

The Bottom Frame with the age in it, I printed the words
from My computer on Green paper, I then ran it throu my Cricut.
I used the Center Point feature and was able to cut around each word.
I chose the To/From tag from my Cricut Lacy Labels Cartridge.
The outer edge cut in blue I cut at 1" and the inner was the
layer feature cut at 1" and used the center point around the words.

I hope you enjoyed looking at this project as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Please leave me a comment, I really love reading each and every one.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Super Fun Crafty Day!!!

Wedding Explosion Box - Money Tree

Good Evening My Crafty Friends, I have been working on this explosion
box for most of the day, but I am so happy with the end result.  This is my
first attempt at an explosion box, but I am hooked...there will be many more to
be made in my future...lol.  This is not only an explosion box though, I have also
created a 3-D Tree in the center.  It will be used for a money tree gift to the
Bride and Groom, but later she can attach tiny trinkets or photos with the mini
clothespins to the tree long after the money is plucked, lol.
I must warn you this is a very picture heavy post.  I hope
you all like it...I am very pleased with it.
The Explosion Box itself is from Penny Duncan SVG.
The Cardstock for the Box layers is ColorBok.
(also the Heart Lock Tag & Flower on top)
The Patterned Paper is from Momenta, Story of Us.
The Svg's for the Heart lock Tag & the Flower are both from
SVGCUTS which you can click on their Banner above to go
to their store.  The metal Tag with the wedding Ring is
from my stash and also I used some off white Tule and some fancy
glitter embossed stickers for the top that I picked up at Michael's.
Now let's open it up..............Ready......and.....Voila...Open Sesame.....
The Tree I cut at 5" from Cindy Loo Cart, I cut this 4 times.
Then I scored down the middle of each one and glued them all
together.  This was a bit challenging, but came out pretty darn good.
The Green papers in the center for the leaves are Bazzill, oh I love that stuff!!!

 Close up of the Top
with all of the lil clothes pins ready for the Money.
I will add another picture later after I fill it with money.

I entered this in a challenge over at the SVGCUTS Forum.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Weekend!!!
Thanks for looking and I would love to read
your comments.  Become a Friend if you would

The Sweet Life - Strawberry Pie

Hello my Crafty Friends, I hope you are all having a fabulous Day!!!
I just finished up this sweet card and wanted to share.
So I used my Wild Card Cart for the Awesome Card base
and envelope and all other card layers - Cut at 5"
The Pie I cut from Paper Doll Dress Up - Cut Pie 2x @ 6 ½,
I then cut 2nd layer in half.  Inked top layer with walnut stain distress
Ink by Tim holtz, also used this ink for grunging up sentiment background
and for the sentiment itself.  The Sentiment Stamp is from Hampton Art,
Foot-longs, its from the cupcake set.  The 3-D glittery stickers are from
Special Moments Scrapbooking.  Green floral Paper I used for the evelope and
the background and inside of my card is from Prima, the Sasha Collection.  the
rest of the papers are all from my stash of paper scraps, so who knows...lol.
I used Red Stickles to enhance the pie, the 3 holes on the top and a little bubbling
out the edge of the pie.  I hope you can see the sparkles in the pictures.
The inside is layered with the same papers, the sentiment
stamp is computer generated using my Craft Artist!  It
is also inked using the Tim Holtz Distress ink, Walnut Stain.

Cookie Holiday Canister

I am stuck on Christmas in July still, lol.
For this little  project I used a Coffee (Folgers) container, I have a bunch
of them saved up and thought it would make a great gift filled with cookies
or muffins or whatever you wanted at Christmas.
Can be reused as a holiday Cookie Jar every year.  I painted the top Red,
it was black.  Would be perfect for a Birthday gift using red, yellow and blue too.
or anything you want.  Ohhh, Valentines Day...I have to see if there are
any files for the gallon sets for Valentines Day!
Cookie Holiday Gallon Can Cover Set

Here is another project I made from a file from My Sweet Tater.

Pot Full of Flowers Card

Good afternoon my Crafty Friends, I am back with another creation.
This was a card I have been wanting to make for a long time and
I am so glad I finally did.  This is a combination 2 project cut files.
first of all the Flower Pot (which I found in the Dollar Downloads) is from
My Scrap Chick, that file comes with it's own flowers, but I had some other
flowers in mind when I decided to make this card.  These Flowers are from
SVGCUTS (click on the Banner Above to go to their store & blog
where you can find lots of Freebies too) and it is the 3-D Flowers Part II Kit.
Wow these flowers are amazing.  I love the way they turned out.
Mary & Leo's Video guides you through step by step how
to make each flower in the kit.  I chose to use the
Clematis flower for this project and oh how I love this flower.
I am so very happy with this project, combining the two cut file Kits
worked out so well here for me, just like I pictured in my mind.

I am entering this card into these awesome Challenges
