Beach Hut Explosion Box

Hello my fellow crafty friends.  I hope all is well today.  I want to share with you all today this amazing explosion box.  I was given this awesome set of files by my new friend Jani, from Paper Compulsions.  Isn't she super talented.  I love this explosion box.  I saw hers on a blog hop I hopped and absolutley fell in love with it.  I am so pleased to have finally found the time to make my own.  Lets see ~ I added a few things like Embossing the outside of the hut with my cuttlebug folders, simply squares for the bottom layer and forest Branches for the dark brown outer layer.  I also used tiny bubbles folder for the sand berms at the bottom.  I didn't add the shells because I was having issues, lol.  The top came out so cute.  I added several more layers...lets see, there was an 8", 7" and a 6".  I added a few more layers, a 5", 4", 3" and a 2".  I the took my paper piercer and curled the edges up all different ways to give it a wind blown effect.  I love the way it came out, I hope Jani does too.

Now for thie Inside, How awesome that she designed a Sandcastle for the middle.  Mine didn't turn out as good as it could have.  I was fighting with sizing things correctly.

I do like how it turned out though.  I raised my front piece higher so you could see through the top window.  I love the flags Jani, great detail on that.  I love all of the layers of water waves on the edges of the photo pages.  I would love to keep this for myself, but I have a very special person and occasion in mind for this one.
And surprise, even the sand castle is a box too.  A grat place to store some shells or a small bottle of sand from a special beach occasion and then fill all of the pages with photos.  Thanks so much Jani for allowing me the opportunity to make this loveley Keepsake Box.  I really love it!!!

I believe Jani has this file and others she has created at her etsy store.  Go visit her blog for further details on that. http://papercompulsions.blogspot.com/

I have placed this project in a Show & Tell over at Paper Compulsions Link Up Party.  Go Check it out And place one of your recent projects there too at:

I hope you all have a wonderful and Crafty Day

What a neat idea. I've yet to make one of these explosion boxes. May have to try and hope that mine looks half as good as yours.
