Happy Birthday Butterfly Center Step Card

Hi there Crafters.  So back in June of last year I ordered the paper wishes butterfly garden card kit from HSN.  apparently I hid it from myself.  I finally pulled it out to use it today to make a birthday card for my Sister.  Now I'm not really one for card kits so usually when I buy them I take out the elements and make something completely different with it than what their kit calls for.  That is of course exactly what I did here.
I started off by making a wide center step card base  that I created my own SVG file for several years ago.   I made this one nice and big to fit the elements from the kit @ 6 1/2" x 5"  I cut the liners using a light green pattern paper that came with the kit.  I used a large butterfly label for the center, lifting up the wings of the large butterfly to give the card extra dimension.  I also used my clear wink of Stella glitter brush to go over the patterns on the large butterfly wings.   I cut two more small butterflies and attached them to the label only adhering on one wing for each allowing for more dimension by lifting a wing on each small butterfly.  Towards the top of the label I added a coordinating happy birthday banner that I popped up on foam tape.  There was a matching paper ribbon in the kit that had cut outs down the center.  I cut that down to fit on both sides of the card.  I wanted to thread ribbon through  them but I had none in the color that matched my card elements,  so I took a spectrum noir marker - PL5 and colored a white sheer ribbon to match the purple elements.  I then threaded the now matching ribbons through each of the paper ribbons leaving a small bit bunched up on each weave to give the card even more texture and Dimension.
Here is a close-up view of some of the awesome texture & dimensions on this card.
At the bottom of the card I decided to add some small circles with flowers from the kit but it needed something a little more.  So I cut some pierced flowers out of some matching pink designer paper with my second to smallest pierced flower Stax die, attaching to either side at the bottom of the card.  Using my clear wink of Stella brush marker to accent the centers of the flowers.
For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Colorbox Pigment - Iris Ink.  Sentiment stamp is from HOTP - Lacy Things Stamp set.  I also stamped a butterfly in the corner with Violet ink and colored in with shimmer chalks.  That stamp is from HOTP Botanical Butterflies. I cut that entire pink mat out with my largest stitched rectangle stax die set.  I cut a strip of the same light green HOTP DSP and layered that with the leftover paper ribbon, this time leaving the pop-outs down the center in place.  I added that as a border for the sentiment mat.  I also stamped a larger butterfly on the envelope, HOTP - Botanical Butterflies but I did not take a picture of that.
