Now for my project:
For my project I went way out of the box and got to try so many fun techniques.  I made a snowman from an upside down pot and a plain glass bowl.

I saw one on Pinterest and just had to make one but jazzed up to my taste of course :)
so hmmmm where to start.  The Hat is a file I designed for the top and will be available in the CK2 store.  It slides open and can hold candy.
You can find the file here
and it will include the other cuts I used to to make the face and vest
I attached my Hat file to the top of the pot plate, which I flipped upside down & painted black to match the hat.  I also added a circle of black felt on the underside of the pot plate so it would rest nicely on the glass bowl for the head.  The head was just a clear glass bowl, I frosted it by painting the outside with plain ole elmers glue.  The eyes and mouth are from files that I cut out in vinyl and placed on the glass bowl.  The nose I created from a homemade salt dough I made from 1/4 flour + 1/4 Salt + about an 1/8 cup to a 1/4 cup of water, I just added water a little at a time until I liked the consistency. after I formed the nose by hand I took a wedge tool to scrap creases in the nose to give it a more real effect.  Let it dry.
I then baked the nose in the oven for 1 hour at 200 degrees.  I let it cool then painted it white with some white acrylic craft paint.  After is was dry I then painted it with some shiny orange Polymark dimensional fabric paint.  then glued to the frosted bowl with E-6000 adhesive.  I used this same adhesive to attach the head (bowl) to the body (pot)  The pot I also painted with and acrylic craft paint, my favorite shade of purple of course :)  *tip ~  as the porous material of the clay pot soaks up the paint too much, I first spray painted the entire pot with a cheap acrylic off white spray paint to prime it.

So I added some pieces I cut from fleece too, here are the scarf and vest.  I also cut sleeves for the arms and mittens to attach.  I rolled up some card stock and put in the sleeves to fill in the arms.  after attaching all of the fleece pieces I then attached some purple ribbon at the top of each mitten then added some pink jingle bells on that.  I also added some snowflake buttons down the center of his chest.  This was a super fun project and I just love how it turned out.  For mine I used the big bowl on a 5 inch pot but you could do these in a small size too.  What a great teacher gift with the hat filled with kisses and a small battery operated tealight in the head.

Or you can fill the head with treats too.  Either way it is adorable!!!

Here is the video tutorial for the 3-D Snowman Hat File

I hope you enjoyed my project and make sure you comment and follow all guidlines because one lucky winner will win the files I used to make this awesome Snowman.  GOOD LUCK!!! :)
