Creative Kuts Fall Challenge

Hello My Bloggy friends and fellow Crafters.  I am so excited to be on the Creative Kuts Design Team and my New post to head up the Quotes Challenge over in our forum.  Here are the entrants so far in this Months Quote Challenge "It's Fall Y'all"

I would love for you to come join us at the CK Forum and enter some of your fantastic Fall themed projects.  Here is some further info for you on the challenge.

For this Month the quote is “It’s Fall Y’all” So you can do Fall, Thanksgiving, something falling…you pick and have fun with it. You may use any files to make your project but if you use files from Creative Kuts you get an extra entry into the drawing (make sure you say which Creative Kuts file you used in your post to get your second entry in the drawing. Plus if you use a CK file to make your project then You will win double the Gift Certificate. You can make any type of Paper Project you would like…card, layout, 3-d object, Banner whatever you want to create. You may enter as many times during the month as you would like as long as you stay within the theme of the quote for each project. You have the choice to add the wording of the quote on your project or not…that is up to you. There will be one winner randomly drawn at the end of the month for each challenge.

The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to www.creativekuts.com.

My Fall Bottle Lights Plus Winner!!!

Hello all of my Crafty fun Family.  I need to anounce the winner of  the Thanksgiving Table Decorations Blog Hop I was in over the weekend but I also wanted to share one of my other crafty loves.

Thanksgiving Table Decor Blog Hop

These 2 little Turkeys I am entering in a challenge over at

Fantabulous Cricut ~ #84 For the Birds

I had found these adorable feather picks a couple of months ago.  I had no idea what I wanted to make with them but knew something would come to me.  The adorable Turkey files and pilgrim files are all from a set I purchased last month after falling in love with the set at a blog hop I was checking out.  The set is called Thankful Friends from SVG Attic.  This is only 3 of the 9 characters in this awesome set.  I made a girl Turkey by changing the colors and adding a bow to her head.  I simply made two sets of turkeys, the boys I placed the Red feathers pick in between and then glued them together and the the same with the girls and the purple feathers pick.  in the center one I placed the girl pilgrim and the boy pilgrim back to back, glued them together at the top only and then stood them in a tent position,  I love these Big hurricane candle holders that my Stepdaughter got me for Christmas one year and I love finding new fun ways to fill them and decorate with them for any and all of the holidays.   Hmmmm, now I will have to get some idea's going for christmas to fill them again.  Thats it for me today...

Scarecrow Plaque

Hello my Crafty friends.  Happy Friday to you all.  Just a quick post for my newest creation.  I made this for the Cuttin' Up with Class Scarecrow Challenge.  You get the free file to make your project and then enter it into the challene and maybe you will even win.  But hey even if not you already scored the adorable files that you made your project with.  Thanks Jani, Love your files.  So if you are not playing in the fun challenges over there yet...you really should go and check it out. So I decided to make the cute little scarecrow plaque where the crows don't look to scared...he he.
I got the scarecrow and the crows cut files from cuttin' up with class free for playing along.  I took a 12x12 paper.  Cut it into thirds at 4 x 12 each.  I then took those three pieces of paper and scored each one at 1 inch intervals, then flipped it over and scored at 1/2 intervals to make my big rosette.  I recently saw a project one of our DT members did with a big rosette and loved it so I thought I would try my own take on it (Thanks Lisa -  http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/).  After getting the Rosette together, I adhered the fun Scarecrow and the crows all around him.  On the crows I inked the edges in white and popped up the attached wings to give it more depth.  I then mounted the whole thing to a gold charger plate and place in an easel.

A Fun New Challenge, come play and win!!!

I made Thanksgiving Blocks to show youthat you can even make some awesome 3-d project from Paper Piecings.   I had so much fun making this. I Made my own different sized Blocks and then added the fun Paper Piecing Kit from Creative Kuts. I use inks to ink the edges of all my pieces before I assemble them. I think this is so important for the overall outcome in paper piecing. I used my D’vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on the watering can and Swiss Dots for the center of the Sunflowers.  Here are some individual shots of each Block.

My 6 month Blogaversary Winner!!!!

Woo Hoo!  So to day is the day to announce my 6 month Blogaversary winner!!!!!   YAY!!!!!

I want to say thank you to all of my Friends/Followers who show me such wonderful support in all I do here.  I am so happy to have found such a terrific place in the world here in our BloggyLand...I love it!!!  We will have to have another giveaway at 1 year and see how far I have grown.  To date I now have 196 Friends who follow all of my projects and this is my 151 post.  We will have to compare at the one year mark and see how far those numbers grow.  I get so excited to see that Friend number rise and all of the wonderful comments I get from you mean so much to me.  I hope to keep learning and growing as a crafter.  I love to come visit you all to get much inspiration for much of my work.  So I will quit rambling on now and tell you who the lucky winner is!!!!!

Show and Tell Link Up Party at Cuttin Up With Class

So My Show and Tell this time are from several items I made for my Hallows Eve Dinner Party last night with the Family.  All of the pumpkins I made were from Files from Jani, free files I might add to play along in her weekly Challenges.  Thanks Jani!!!  If you guys are not playing along you are missing out on some fabulous files!  So get on over to Cuttin Up with Class and join in the Show and Tell this Week.  And there are free files to be had to play along in her awesome Challenges for the rest of the weeks.

So here is a shot of the Table before the food. 

 I made a 3-D Pumpkin for my Centerpiece by cutting 3 of the same pumpkin and adhering them all together, that way you can see it from wherever you sit at the table.

Here it is from a top view so you can see how I put it together.

Next, I made 10 Larger Pumpkins to go onto my chargers and the clear plated sit over the top of them.  I made 10 of these but 2 of the boys liked theirs so much they wanted to take them home with them, (Awe!!! That made me feel great!!!)

And then these cute little signs for the food, to add a little more fun to the table.  The pumpkins are the same pumpkin file from Jani but this time only the back layer.   The fun eerie Labels I found online from Celeste Rockwood-Jones.

I also printed and pasted spooky fun wine labels for the wine bottles and even some fun ones on the bottles of Apple cider for the kids.   Last but not least are the adorable Cupckes with Wrappers and toppers.  These are from SVGCUTS and it is their Dreadful Halloween Cupcake wrappers.  You can find a banner at the top of my blog to go visit their stor, Blog and get their freebies too.

 My Hallows Eve Dinner was a hit and I think they all enjoyed it. I will leave you with a few more pictures of the Dinner Table.  Have a Fun and SAFE Halloween.
