Special Delivery Boy Birthday Card

I had so much fun with this card, I just love this adorable little Happy Mail stamp set.
So this card layout again is based on the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge.
The pattern papers are from some old CTMH scraps.  Plaid piece is cut at 5.5X4.25 for the brown layer I used my largest stitched rectangle die from Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes.  I then used a straight stitched scallop edge die to cut it down to the size I needed for sketch, I love how awesome that looks.  The blue diamond pattern paper I used a stitched postage stamp die.  The sentiment stitched flag banner I did the same thing with the straight stitched scallop die to cut it down to the size I wanted, leaving enough room to stamp HB2U in blue ink.  Stamp is from Craftin Desert Divas - Short & Sweet Tags
Ok on to the little adorable mailman/Delivery boy, such a little cutie!  I popped him up on foam tape. I am doing my best to learn to use my Spectrum Noir markers and I am feeling a little more confident each time.  I will do my best to list my marker colors for you.....
Skin tones - FS2, FS3 & FS6  Hair - Canary, Golden Yellow & Sand   Shoes - Sand & RB2  Mail Bag - RB2 & RB3  Pants, Shirt & Hat - TB1, & TB3  Pant Cuffs - TB1, TB3 & TB5   Envelope - IG1 & Blender  Tie & Hat Label - IG1 & IG2

The special delivery envelope and sentiment are from this same Happy Mail stamp set.  I used IG1 and my blender pen to shade these envelopes also.  I cut a shadow layer in black to back the larger center envelope.  The other 4 envelopes with black shadow layers are from Cricut Doodlecharms.  I had my Explore draw the outline of each heart on those 4 envelopes in blue Cricut pen and then I colored the hearts in with TB1
The adorable banner over his head is from a different stamp set - Puppy love birthday.  I again stamped in blue ink.  I used my scanNcut to cut out that banner with an outline.... I love that machine! ❤️  I also inked the edges of each item before adhering down with walnut stain distress ink.
For the inside I used some Kraft card stock cut with my Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes using the largest stitched rectangle die for the bottom layer.  Next I took a leftover scrap of blue diamond paper matching the front and used the Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes stitched rectangle just to get the top and bottom stitching cut in. The I the took the straight stitched scallop die to trim Down each side.  Then using a brown pattern scrap I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it down to the size to fit this fun Birthday stamp from HOTP called Birthday Greetings.  I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with fine white embossing powder.  I colored in the cute snail from the Happy mail stamp set.  Markers used on snail - Body ~ Colorista Sand & RB2  Shell Colorista Daffodil, Sand & YG1

Beary Happy Birthday Card

For this card I decided to go with some soft pastel colors for my pattern papers from Light Bright - Colorbok to accent the cute little teddy bear.  I  used some of my stitched rectangle stacked dies to cut the pattern paper panels.
The teddy bear and sentiment on the front are both from a new unbranded stamp set I recently picked up I call Bear Hugs.  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the teddy (Fur Colorista Ivory, Cream & Sand, Pink parts MG1, heart Colorista Lipstick.  I stamped him again on a white floral vellum.  After coloring the underside of the vellum on the pink (MG1) and red(lipstick) parts I ran it through my xyron and attached to the other layer.  I really liked how it softened up the colors on the bear but a little bit too much on the pink parts so I took my MG1 & Lipstick markers and went over those parts again on top of the vellum this time.  It's so pretty and if you look closely you can see the white floral pattern of the vellum showing on the bear & Heart.  I used a two piece flower die to cut the five flowers, the tops are from a cream card stock & the bottoms are the same vellum this time I colored the tops in pink (MG1).  I ran all 10 flower pieces through my xyron and adhered them together.  For the bow I used a two piece die set and cut this also out of vellum and colored in with my pink MG1 Spectrum Noir marker, wow wow wow so cute!
I do believe I will be making more of these bows with colored vellum, very pretty!  I arranged all of the pieces on the card front based on a sketch challenge over at Tuesday morning sketches.  I added some pink Jewel dazzles to the center of each flower.  For the very middle flower I popped that one up on foam tape and added a larger dazzle to the center and a black enamel dot in the center of that.  I used a die from ART-C Stamp & Cut - Snowflakes to cut the sentiment label and stamped a sentiment from the bear stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
For the inside of this card I simply used one of my stitched flag dies to cut two banners from the matching pattern paper scraps.   I trimmed the tops down so they could be different lengths.  I also used a stitched rectangle stack die to cut the cream colored piece for my inside sentiments.  The Beary best wishes on your special day! Is a wooden stamp from Stampin' Up!  I stamped that in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.    The Happy Birthday stamp is from a Puppy Love Birthday Stamp set which I stamped in a bright pink chalk ink.   I hope you enjoyed my sweet little card today.

Flurry of fun Christmas card

Trying to keep with my plan of getting a couple of Christmas cards done each month.
These papers, the vellum also the snowflakes and the tags/labels are all from Hot Off the Press.  For the background layer of the card I used an awesome wood grain brown.  The next layer is a beautiful teal with the white snowflake pattern that I cut with my Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes  using the largest stitched rectangle die.   For anyone that follows my blog you see this on almost every card lol.   I used my wink of Stella clear glitter pen to dot the centers of each snowflake on the pattern paper.  For the vellum Layer that I colored the back with a light blue marker and then inked the edges with a darker blue and used my HOTP Card Flaps & Borders die to cut that wonderful unique shape.  I used a pre stamped matching tag for the focal that I accented with the cute snowflakes from this matching kit.  I used a die to cut the teal snowflake (Snowglobe Cutting Dies - HOTP) that I stacked on the largest snowflake.  I popped each of the snowflakes up on foam tape. Then I cut a jumping deer out of a brown card stock (HOTP 9 Tiny Christmas Things + Shadows Die Set).  I also popped up the deer on foam tape.
For the inside I kept it simple, I used a matching tag/label and snowflake.  I heat embossed a sentiment in platinum embossing powder saying "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" from Sheena Douglass Christmas Stamp Set - Crafters Companion

Egg Blooming Tulips Easter Easel Card

Say that Title 5 times fast! lol  I had fun with this card with a cute svg of egg blooming tulips (thank you Cheryl for making this for me) svg is from creativekuts.com
I decided to make it an easel card and with the help of some of my spellbinders Labels Twenty-Three dies I cut and embossed the striped background.  I also cut the easel stopper shape which I added a Happy Easter Sentiment to with my Cricut Explore Air using my Cricut fine tip pens and the Cricut Alphabet Font in Design Space before I cut it out with my spellbinder die and embossed it as well.
I also used my cuttlebug seeing spots embossing folder for the main purple background on this card.  Oh my Gosh!  Can I just say I just love the pattern paper I found for the eggs!
It looks like I dyed them myself in cups of egg dye in my kitchen lol.  That paper is from Ms. sparkle & Co. paperie called watercolor.  The tulips are just solid card stock scraps and then light green pattern paper scraps on the leaves.  I added some very light pink and white bakers twine around the bend of the card and tied a small bow.  I also added some flower jewel gems to each of the Easter eggs.
For the inside I used some cute pattern paper from a Recollection's stack called All Girl, that is where the striped pattern paper for the front came from also.  I did not have the cute sentiment that I wanted in a stamp set so I again created the sentiment with my explore air and my fine tip pens on some of the pink watercolor paper.   I then used a stitched rectangle die to cut that out for the inside portion of my card leaving plenty of room to hand write a message and sign my card.  I wanted to add a little extra something cute so I went to my stamp sets and found this adorable little girl dressed up in a bunny costume, I thought she set this card off perfectly!  To color her I used my spectrum noir markers  IG1, IG2, FS2, FS3, FS6, AP1, CT1 and MG2 for the nose.  She came out so adorable and I just can't wait to make some more cards with that stamp set.
Here is a view of the card front closed.

Green Floral Birthday Card

I just had to make one more monochromatic Card in green because I needed a birthday card for my Niece this month and her favorite color is green.  I gathered together several green scraps and got to work.
I started with stamping the beautiful flowers on two different colors of green and cutting them out.  I took two pieces of larger green scraps, adhered them together and used my Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes die to cut out the main background mat.  I used another pattern paper scrap to die cut the pretty lattice lace die.  I added it to the background layer and then layered the flowers in a row along the joint of the two layers.  I intertwined the flower petals on either side.  I set the center flower aside.  I used Happy Birthday stamp from HOTP called Birthday Greetings.  I stamped in Green and then in again in Versamark clear ink and added clear embossing powder over the green and heat set.  I added the center flower onto a foam square to pop it up and got it added to the card.  I added enamel dots to the centers of each flower and added a larger size to the center one. I took my spectrum noir clear sparkle marker to brush the lines coming out from the enamel dots plus I added sparkle to each of the dots on the center flower petals as well.  I then decided to sparkle brush over any of the lattice lace die cut that is showing.  I wish you could see all of the sparkle in the photo, it really makes a huge difference in person.
For the inside a grabbed another pretty green scrap that came from the same pattern pack as the lattice lace cut on the front.  I used my Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes again to cut that mat.  Using the same stamp set as the front I stamped celebrate in black and it's your day in green.  I added another stamped and cut flower down in the corner. This time instead of an enamel dot I took my water brush and used the green ink I stamped with to color in the flower center.  I then added clear sparkle over that and also again dotted the dots with sparkle on the petals.

Decoupaged Candle Jar w/ Handmade Roses

So I love to up cycle things around the house, amazing how pretty a pickle jar can become.
I made  this for someone very special in my life, my kids grandma.    The little photo faces I added in the center of each bottle cap are of my daughters children, which are four of her great grandchildren.

I was able to go on a road trip over the weekend and deliver it to her personally and I am so happy that she loved it.
To start off with I cut down a pretty napkin to the size I wanted to fit around the jar.  I then ran it through my big shot with a pierced flower die to cut out the center of the napkin.  After I separated the 2ply and removed the second plain white ply I wanted to add a frame in the center.   I then used the same die and the next larger one up and cut the frame out of scrapbook paper.   I adhered the frame to the napkin cut out with wet adhesive glue before I began to Decoupage  the entire thing onto the jar with mod podge.   After I let it dry overnight I then used another die, Sue Wilson - Star Flower Cluster  for the pretty flower spray.  I cut in a tan color and decoupaged that on as well after spraying with glimmer mist.
I then used a different flower die to create the 3D roses implementing the Tim holtz tattered flower roses technique.  I sprayed those with perfect pearls.   Here is a link to a card I made using this same technique on a previous card.
https://evasscrapsncards.blogspot.com/2017/09/3d-roses-birthday-card.html
I then added some crinkle ribbon around the top of the jar and added a bow to the front that I wrapped a little tiny premade rose in cream color around the center.   On either side of the jar I added some more crinkle ribbon hanging down that I hot glued underneath the ribbon that ran around the rim of the jar.   From each of the 4 ends I hung a flower that I created from a bodacious blooms flower die (HOTP)that I cut from a light pink card stock, with a pierced flower diecut stacked on top of that in a smaller size matching the frame from the front and then a designer metal bottle cap with a photo of each one of her great grand children that I topped of with a 1" epoxy dot.  I placed a candle inside the jar and voila.......
What a beautiful treasured keepsake came from an old pickle jar!

Happy Easter Chick Card

Another fun design from Cheryl over at www.creativekuts.com This is going on her March card Train she hosts over on FB.

The fun pattern papers I used are actually from a Valentines Day Paper pad, Recollections I believe.  Happy-Easter-Lace-Card is the name of this cutie.  I added my center chick mat as a flap so I can lift and sign the card underneath.  The embossing on the purple is a pack I picked up already embossed.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp for the chickadee face, I tucked some real yellow feathers bow and top notch.  I also added an enamel dot on the bow.
For the belly band I used a stamp from Cardz TV - Farmyard Funnies  stamping Chick this out! on the label.  I also added a flower I die cut from Hot Off The Press called Bodacious Blooms, Love that set!  I added a white sparkle enamel dot to the center to add that perfect touch.  I decided to decorate an envelope to match and used some of the same papers and another bodacious bloom flower, this time I cut just a circle to lay flat for mailing to go in the center of the flower but added some clear wink of Stella to make it sparkle.

Candle cut-out Christmas card

Another fun Christmas card following along with the fun 12 months of Christmas Cards Train over at  Creativekuts posts on FB.  This file will be available in March @ www.Creativekuts.com
I ran the red and green layers through the 3 dots embossing folder (its from Sizzix Birthday #2 Emboss Folder Set) before attaching to the card base & lining up to the opening cut-out in the card.  All three candle cuts are pattern papers from my Christmas scraps stash.  I used a gold marker to color in the flames and then I went over them with clear wink of Stella to add to the sparkle.  The Merry Christmas stamp is from HOTP Christmas Fancy Patterns Stamp Set.  I added some red gems for the berries.
On the inside I simply stamped in green ink, "sending you tidings of comfort and Joy" from HOTP Fancy Christmas Greetings Stamp Set.  The candle shows through from the cut-out on the front to really make this card unique.

With Sympathy Bird Frame Card

For today's card I am sharing a Sympathy card based on a sketch over at YNS blog.
Sympathy cards are always tough for me so it really helps to start with a sketch.
I grunged up the edges with walnut distress ink to soften the bright cheerful colors and tone them down for the look I was going for.   The background pattern paper was just a scrap left over in my stash as are the two different blues that I used on the frame.   Both shades of purple card stock are from bazzil.   I used my corner rounder to soften the look and go nicely with the frame and border.

The bird frame - Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge
Border - Cricut Essentials cartridge
Words With Sympathy -  Cricut Wild Card Cartridge
For the inside I used my Simon says stamp large stitched rectangle die to cut the light purple Mat and then I used the corner Chomper on both right corners.  I cut two of the frame mats for my sentiment which I stamped with a cardmakers kit Sympathy stamp  and inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink.  I used a swirly flower diecut from my unbranded dies, cut from the dark purple as an embellishment for the sentiment.
