So I wanted to share with you all the way I sometimes do Hybrid Layouts. I start out by making a simple design with my photos in the form of a digital layout. (Original photo below scroll down) Then I print it out on photo paper in an 8x8 size and cut off all of the white edges. I place on a full size 12 x 12 patterned paper of some sort. Then I start creating traditional pieces to go on my full size layout. This one is from a recent trip to the Zoo with my Daughter and two adorable Grandchildren, it was fun. Here it is as the final Page after adding all of my Traditional pieces.
The traditional pieces I added on are of course the two turtles to begin with. These both paper piecing files from Little scraps of heaven designs. The Turtle on the left is from the Jungle & Zoo Pals Set and the Turtle on the right is called valentine-turtle. There are many good files over there to choose from. So I cut them on my Cricut Expression using Sure Cuts Alot 2. I used a Martha
Stewart Punch on the green polka dot paper at top and bottom. I then used a wavy edge in my paper cutter to add the light green strip over the top. The letters were fun. I used a small stamp punch I picked up for a dollar, great buy...for the background in the light green. Then I used my cuttlebug die set called Baby Face for all of the letters - in dark green to the left and pasted onto the stamp cutouts.
And then the circle dies with a letter in the center were punched in the light green color with the dark green backing it. I am so happy I bought this set. Then the Admit One Ticket is from a pack of journaling tag set I picked up from Oriental Trading Company. Oh and the awesome 12x12 paper I chose to put it all on is from a new paper pack I just picked up called Rustic from DCWV...It is a wonderful paper pack.
Below is Digital LO only before I made it into a Hybrid LO.

Eva, this is so inspirational. I've been meaning to start up scrap booking but I'm intimidated to do so. This is wonderful!

This is very cool! Love how you designed half on the computer and used real papers to finish it up! Great idea!
