I decided to do one more Fourth of July Card while I still had my supplies handy. It will be great to add to my stash for next year. The layout is based on the fun new Sketch Challenge at Die Cuttin Divas this week
This card is sized at 5x5 with a top fold. I used Neena 110lb white card stock for the base of the card. The layers are all cut from a K&Company paper pad called Americana and a little more of the Neena White card stock. The two triangle pieces, I used my sew stamper to add a stitched look down the center.... I need more practice with this tool lol a little bit off center but that's ok, doesn't have to be perfect. The Stitched Star shapes (3 larger Stars) are from an SVG file called Basic Faux Stitched Shapes. I purchased an embellishment kit that matched this Americana paper pad and that is where the pre-cut die-cuts - lighter blue Glitter star & the Blue glitter swirls are from. The center red star is cut from Red Glitter Foam using the star shape from Simon Says Stamp dies - Bundle of Stitched Shapes. I also used the Tag from that set as well. I added a white inner piece for the sentiment to be stamped. The Celebrate! Stamp is from Crafters Companion Sheena Douglass Christmas Stamp Set. The Fireworks are cut from the Cricut Stand & Salute Cartridge. I cut those from some blue and red holographic paper. I accented with some fun new red and blue sequins I just got from a Peachy Cheap online deal.... I added bead in the center of each with Tulip Red & Blue Beads in a Bottle.
For the Inside I used a 4.75x4.75 square that I had cut the middle layer red star from the front. love to be able to use up the negative cuts too. I stamped the Happy Fourth of July sentiment in blue, that is from Craftin Desert Divas Happy Celebrations Stamp Set. The glitter fireworks are again from matching embellishment kit of pre-cut die-cuts. All edges of all pieces are inked with walnut distress ink using my round blending tool accept for front white sentiment piece... that one is inked with Abandoned Coral distress ink.
I am entering into these fun challenges:
