I am on day three of a killer headache so this card took forever to complete. I wanted it to be extra special so I really took my time on it from the beginning planning stages all the way to the last pearl added. I tried out some new techniques to me like coloring vellum with this card and really did have fun with it. That fabulous lattice card front is from Cricut Edge to Edge cartridge. I then used that same shape to create a shaped card base.
The beautiful floral images are from hot off the press lacy things stamp set. I stamped onto Vellum with my black stazon ink, I ran it through my scan n cut 2..... Oh good gosh you know I love that machine! I did have to use my razor knife to cut the inner part, but that wasn't too hard. I colored the backside of the vellum with my spectrum noir markers and a couple of Green sharpie markers for the leaves. I stamped the floral image again on white card stock with the Stazon black ink and cut it out with my machine as well. After cutting I went around the edges with a black sharpie marker just to get rid of any white edges. I ran the white cardstock floral pieces through my Xyron so I could adhere it to the vellum pieces without it showing through the vellum.
I layered a center Mat cut from red foil paper and then another in black. The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from Desert Craftin diva's called happy celebrations stamp set. I stamped in versaMark and I heat embossed with Ranger white super fine detail embossing powder. I ran that through cuttlebug swirls embossing folder and the red foil in cuttlebug Swiss dots folder. I also added some pearls from my stash I think I got them at Michael's. I used sticky foam to pop up the floral images on the front of the card .
For the inside of the card I layered another red piece that matches the front and I stamped the floral and the wishing you a beautiful day sentiment both from hot off the press lacy things stamp set with StazOn black ink because that paper has a very slick surface.
