I have not been crafting at all for the last couple of weeks due to busy life in general, lol and migraine headaches, Ugh. This is not a CK2 project but something I have been wanting to make for my Kitchen for a long time now.
I bought the beautiful stand at Michaels and it holds 8X8 size pages. I made a front cover using a beautiful cardstock from a Recollections Stack I have called Modern Bouquet. It is a 12X12 sheet that I cut down to 8X8.
The letters I cut from Scal 2 using the font Berlin Sans FD in Normal for the top layer, which I inked edges in brown. The bottom layer I used the Shadow Rounded feature and upped it to 4.0 and welded the word Kitchen together. I plced the negative of the cut where I wanted to place it on my project to use as a guide where I wanted to glue down my word pieces. The metal flower came in a pack of wire embellishments I recieved from my Step Daughter. I really love the way it all came out!
The inside recipe pages I did are a combo of Smilebox and Craft Artist programs, printed out at 8X8, trimmed the white edges off and perfect fit into this beautiful stand.
I have one more card to add tomorrow, I have it ready minus the picture. Since I am making this dish for our 4th of July Celebration I will be taking a picture and adding it in too. I will be adding plenty more recipe cards throughout the years of my favorites so the recipe will always be handy to use in my kitchen.
Thanks so much for stopping by to look at my latest project. I would love to read your comments on what you think :) so please leave me one.
