Beachy Birthday card set

Hello crafters, today I would like to a share a card set I recently made for my step daughters Birthday.

She requested beach going items so I got here a beach folding chair that had back pack straps on it then filled the attached net bag with more gifts like a freezable acrylic cup to keep her drinks cool, a beach towel and a rolled up hammock.
I tied this matching beachy tag to the chair.  She loved it!

on my card and tag I used cuts from Cricut life is a beach cart and the embossing is from a borrowed set of fiskars embossing plates for the water waves.

Jar of Love Card

Today I want to share with you this fun card.  I really enjoyed working on it.  I have to say this is one of those cartridges that I just had to have and I am so happy I bought it.
I used Kate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge, using all six layers to create this lovely.  ahhh...Butterflies and Dragonflies, I know the perfect person for this card.  The Banner at the Bottom is from Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Ribbon Banners set.  I used foam to pop up the Banner.  I added some gems to the banner.  Some pink twine around the neck of the jar.  The butterflies & Dragonfly outside the jar all have 3-D lifted wings.  I used white Gelly-roll pen for faux stitching.

I am Linking up to these fun Challenges:
Cardz TV Stamps DT Challenge #31  - “LOVE IN A JAR!"

Paper Playtime - Ch#12 Anything Goes

Just finished up making all 20 of these Baby Boy Shower Invites for my New Grand Baby on his way :)

I take orders, you choose colors, Boy or Girl & personalization for inside :)
http://meylah.com/Evasscrapsncards/8-personalized-baby-shower-invitations

This was a super fun project.  I don't Have the cartridge that this similar cut is offered on...9 months I think?  anyway I knew I had a nice umbrella on my Create a Critter cart so I thought hmmmmm.

I went into Cricut Craftroom and started pulling things together and welding them.  I used the umbrella from Create a Critter like I said before.  The letters are from Cricut Craft room Basic, I of course went through all of the fonts I had but I liked this one best for this project.  So I smooshed the letters together and welded them onto the umbrella handle.  Then I added the solid layer feature for the umbrella without the smiley face for a different color, I added some circles to the bottom of each point on the umbrella to look like the one I was trying to duplicate from the cart I did not have and Voila!

Oh my gosh, Now I can't find the cart I got the inspiration from, I will have to add that later :(  I went and looked it up again and yes it was the 9 months cart.  Anyway I took the bottom layer of the words only part and ran each one through my swiss dots cuttlebug folder.  Then after attaching two layers together,  I stamped a cute little Peachy Keen face on each one from the
Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8" set (PK-451)

then of course coloring in the eyes with a white gelly roll pen.

I hope you enjoyed my project, I take orders if you know of anyone with an upcoming Shower or any event for that matter.

Father's Day Wood Working Tools Card

Hello my Bloggy Friends, I am trying to get back on track with my blog, life gets so busy and time runs away :)

Today I have made a Father's Day Card featuring the
card Sketch provided at Mojo Monday for their
current Challenge :)
I used a wood working tool theme for my Dad.
For the front of this card I followed the basic sketch layout, I tried really hard to keep it simple and masculine.  For the embossing I used the Cuttlebug diamond plate folder.  I took aluminum foil shiny side down, and adhered it to a piece of cardstock.
I then ran it through Cuttlebug.  For the Tape measure,
I used a Cricut cut from Handy Man Lite, cutting all layers of the tape measure at 2".  I used a black gel pen to go over the cuts for the lines. The Sentiment I created on my computer and printed out.
For the inside, I cut layers to match the front.  Again I used my computer to create the sentiment.  This time I cut the Hand Saw
out with my Cricut Handy Man Lite cart also at 2".
I added a black brad to represent a nail to hang the saw from as the Cricut cuts the hole there and it looked funny to just leave it.

I am entering this card into these Challenges:

I hope you enjoyed my Card, I hope to be adding lots of new projects in the near future, including getting some done for
In my store, I have projects I have made for sell and I am always willing to take orders for anything you need made.  Just email me the details and we will get to work on a quote for you.  I also can cut images you may need from my cartridges or my other die cuts.  There is a full list of my cartridges on my blog page marked my Cricut Cartridges at the top of this page, look for tabs under my header.

Butterfly Die Cuts

I just ordered this beautiful double set of exotic Butterfly Die Cuts from Paper Wishes with a gift card I was given for my upcoming Birthday by a very special lady :) Thank you Annie <3

I can't wait to get them and start using them on some projects :)

If you are interested in these die cuts here is the direct link to them

She loaned me her Butterfly set from Memory Box called...
top layer - Chloe Butterfly(98352) and bottom layer - Tristan Butterfly(98350)
I fell in LOVE!!!

these are the thin metal dies, I use them in my cuttlebug or my Big Shot and will work in most die cutting machines.

They are so intricate and beautiful, I love my Cricut...but usually have a hard time finding the right paper to work with intricate designs so it wont rip it.

I have not yet made an actual project with them yet but have cut, cut, cut and then cut some more haha in all sorts of paper colors and also different materials like felt, foam, corrugated paper, hand made stitched paper, wax paper, foil covered card stock

1st let me show you some I cut with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations - Snow Flurries
Foil covered cardstock, 2 different kinds of corrugated, and white felt

Foam

handmade papers * corrugated
oh and I forgot velum...going to cut that now :) ...
Vellum that I colored with chalks
 ohhhh it is gorgeous :)
How about glitter Foam
it moved around as I ran it thru back and forth so I just left all of the pieces in it making it look like a deep embossed look...love it anyway!!!  next time I will tape it down first.

a shot of several of the different materials...I will be making a project real soon with one or more of these to share.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you back again soon.  Have a wonderful Day :0)
